I am a junior in CALS majoring in Biological Sciences and concentrating in molecular and cell biology. Under the guidance of Justin Galardi, I am exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying transposable element dysregulation in HIV-1, with a particular focus on the role of KRAB zinc finger proteins in regulating transposable elements within human cells. In my free time I enjoy reading classic literature, playing the ukulele, drinking tea, and learning new languages.
